Blinkit, a hyper-local delivery company, has introduced a special feature for Raksha Bandhan. Customers can order rakhis and gifts for delivery within minutes.
Surprisingly, the company has also activated a limited-time international order feature, allowing people living abroad to send rakhis to their siblings in India.
Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa announced the new feature, emphasizing the service’s speed and convenience. ” It’s a Raksha Bandhan special—we’ve switched on international orders on Blinkit until 19 August.
Folks living abroad can now place orders on Blinkit to send Rakhis and gifts to their siblings in India, and we’ll deliver them in 10 minutes!” Dhindsa shared in a post.
The international service is available in selected countries, including the USA, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Japan. This initiative is designed to help customers living abroad send Raksha Bandhan gifts to their loved ones in India with unprecedented speed.
Since the announcement, Dhindsa’s post has garnered over 11,000 views and nearly 400 likes. Customers’ reactions have been positive, with many appreciating Blinkit’s innovative approach.
One customer commented, “Blinkit never disappoints us,” while another expressed amazement, saying, “For real? If yes, you’re winning the world – one rakhi at a time.” Others simply expressed their approval with comments like “Lovely” and “Blinkit, you won, boss.”
Formerly known as Grofers, Blinkit allows customers to order groceries, fruits, vegetables, and other essentials through their browser or mobile device.
